Richard Otto Departs XS2Content After Over Five Years

Richard Otto, co-founder of the Hilversum-based AI technology company XS2Content, is stepping down after more than five years. His co-founder, Sebastian Plasschaert, will now assume full ownership of both XS2Content and its parent company, XS2Tech.

XS2Content was among the first Dutch companies to deploy Generative AI at scale for media organizations. Reflecting on the journey, Otto shares:
"Five years ago, our focus was on AI-driven media applications for clients like DPG and Mediahuis. Today, we’ve grown into a SaaS company that develops AI automation pipelines for large organizations such as Achmea, Leonardo Hotels, and public institutions. That shift from media to a tech-focused SaaS business is less aligned with my interests. This transition gives me the space to focus on other ventures and new opportunities."

Sebastian Plasschaert adds:
"Richard and I created something truly unique: a company that pioneered automated Generative AI applications in the Netherlands. I’m grateful for our collaboration and proud of what we’ve built. Our next step is to further develop the XS2C platform into the go-to tech-focused SaaS company for AI automation pipelines in communications — enabling scalable, high-end content creation across industries."
